Rovni Dam, Serbia

 

 

Short description: Rovni dam is built on the Jablanica River, in western Serbia, 15km away from Valjevo. The construction of the dam involved making 50 million m3 reservoir, which is an integral part of the regional water management system “Rovni” which should provide water supply for several cities: Valjevo, Lazarevac, Lajkovac, Ub and Mionica.

 

This is a rock fill dam with water resistant clay core. It is 74.5m high, with 450m long crest.

 

The works were executed by a joint venture formed by the companies “Hidrotehnika - Hidroenergetika” and “Energoprojekt Niskogradnja” plc, Belgrade, Serbia.
