Vracar Railway Tunnel, Serbia

 

Vracar railway tunnel with two separate tunnel tubes is an integral part of the Belgrade Railway Junction. Mechanized shield method was applied in the construction of this tunnel along with the simultaneous erection of reinforced concrete segments. The construction of such an important structure provided the opportunity for the company to gain the experience in the field of executing tunnel works using tunnel excavation and lining machine (TBM).
