Short description: The works on the construction of the Ramal Nuevo – El Arenal canal were executed in the Piura Region, in the north Peru. The canal represents the extension of the Chira-Piura irrigation system and provides water for 2,200 ha of agricultural land in the Chira Valley.
The building structures executed in the area also include the 6.9km long concrete canal with appurtenant infrastructure including 38 lateral intakes, 2 bridges, 10 floodways, bifurcation and discharge measurement structure.
