Headrace tunnel of Zavoj Hydroelectric Power Plant was built in the vicinity of the town of Pirot. The entrance section was executed using New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM), whereas the exit section was executed mechanically, using Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM), with simultaneous erection of pre-cast segments.
